Friends of Gary - Jim

Jim Brightly began his journalistic career in the '70s as the technical editor of Four Wheeler magazine, the premier off-road book of the time. He then labored through the birth of Petersen's 4-Wheel & Off-Road magazine as its feature editor, and then was incarcerated as editor of Truckin' magazine before moving into the private sector. Jim managed a multi-million dollar technical documentation department for a major Japanese electronics firm for several years prior to becoming Trailer Life's managing editor through the '90s. After the turn of the century, he moved over to Family Motor Coaching magazine as its technical editor. Jim is now semi-retired but keeps his hand in both the RV and ORV industries with some freelancing and writing monthly technical Q&A columns.

Gary's Note: Jim is the one on the right...
