Friends of Gary - Chris

Chris Dougherty is an RVIA/RVDA Certified RV Technician, writer and lecturer. In the RV industry for 12 years, Chris got his start working for a small dealership and RV park in Rhinebeck, New York, eventually starting his own Mobile RV Service called RV Medics in 2003, which was designed to bring ‘dealer level RV Service, Parts and Accessories’ to his clientele.

Chris is an avid RV’er, having started RVing in 1973 at the age of 3, and was a full-time RV’er for 10 years. A strong supporter of the RV industry, Chris has produced RV park newsletters and written articles for RV industry publications and has frequently lectured on RV related topics at dealers and rallies. A 23 year veteran firefighter/EMT, fire service instructor and fire investigator from upstate New York, Chris is currently working on a new venture in Western Massachusetts for late 2011/2012, and serves on the Educational Review Subcommittee for the RVIA, and has developed an RV Crash, Fire, Rescue course for the emergency services.

Chris lives with his fiancée Karen in Springfield Massachusetts, and together they enjoy RVing in a 2009 Jayco 5th Wheel.
