Two Fuses on RV Battery Post
I was wondering why there are two fuses on the hot wire of my battery on my travel trailer and if they are needed. Andy, (Lignum, VA)
Simply put, it’s quite possible that an existing circuit somewhere in the trailer is wired directly to the positive battery post instead of to a fuse panel inside, Andy. Chances are you need them both. A quick test would be to pull the fuses, one at a time, and see what doesn’t work inside the RV. Be sure to label each fuse so you’ll know exactly which circuit(s) they are protecting.
