"Pro Tech RV Media and RVIA are pleased to offer the new RV Owner’s Technical Training Series of Maintenance DVDs, featuring the RV Doctor and designed specifically for those RV owners who like to perform their own repairs and maintenance.The series of training DVDs are to be used in conjunction with the RVIA RV Service Technician Textbook Series. The first installment released is “RV Preventive Maintenance.” The Pro version follows each chapter in the RVIA textbook. “This DVD provides, for the learning service tech, a visual account of the procedures and techniques studied in that textbook,” says Bunzer. It is designed as a dedicated companion to the textbook, not as a replacement. Used in combination with the textbook, the DVD shows how the actual procedures in the textbook are performed. Adds Bunzer, “For many students now taking part in various RV training programs, this is extremely helpful. It’s much easier to learn when a procedure is “shown” in detail rather than simply read in book form. A similar RV Preventive Maintenance DVD for RV owners, also produced by Pro Tech RV Media and RVIA, is available. This DVD is written and presented at the RV owner level and shows the RVer those systems and components that need regular attention. As Gary states, “Today’s RVer understands the necessity for annual preventive maintenance; they just need guidance in how to actually perform many of those tasks themselves.” Written generically, the RV owner version walks the RVer through the proper procedures that are easily handled by the astute RV handyperson. “Lots of RVers, especially those who attend my seminars, choose to do their own maintenance so why not show them the proper way of doing just that? Many RVers actually like to tinker with their rigs and performing simple maintenance tasks will add many miles of RVing enjoyment to their travels.” The Preventive Maintenance DVD is delineated by subject so the RV owner can simply choose which RV system to view first. Copies of the Preventive Maintenance DVD may be ordered directly from RVIA. Likewise, the Pro version and textbook are also available through RVIA for those RVers who would like to learn more about RV troubleshooting and repair.
